Introducing PUMA’s all-new sneaker franchise, referred to as PWRFrame. The first release from the series is the OP-1 PWRFrame, an innovative silhouette blending street and vis-tech.
In a Silver and Off-White colourway, these street-ready kicks have a breathable mesh and suede upper with traditional overlays and technical bonding for a bold aesthetic.
They feature a secure lace up fastening and are sat on a lightweight foam midsole with a ring of support that extends from the heel to the midfoot. Offering soft cushioning and a stable feel, these trainers are finished up with a grippy rubber tread, branding to the tongue and the iconic PUMA Formstrip embroidered to the sidewalls.
When asked about the inspiration behind the shoe, PUMA’s Design Lead for Sportstyle Footwear Danny Taylor said, “The design is inspired by our approach to tech driven product; we want to emphasize functionality through a collage of contrasting construction techniques and manufacturing processes.Typically, technology integration on sneakers can often be elaborately sculpted and over designed. For the OP-1 PWRFrame, we wanted to emphasize pure functionality through an almost simplistic approach, taking architectural structures as a basis behind the inspiration whilst simultaneously creating a bold look through the overall silhouette.”
