Streetfest 2014

This May Bank Holiday we went down to London’s Annual Street festival, Streetfest, the Graffiti, Music and Dance festival celebrated their seventeenth event this year, bringing us a great day in true style. Streetfest had a new home this year at Forman’s Fish Island in London’s Hackney Wick, with an increased capacity of 7000 people, amazing views of the Olympic Stadium and even their very own beach courtesy of event sponsors Noisey, this was a perfect spot for a festival  and the sun was out and about too.

The unsigned LDN stage had some very good  upcoming and unsigned UK talent, we watched and were slowly mesmerised by the voices of Shannon Saunders (@saundersshannon) and others, over on the dance stage we saw awesome crazy body popping break dancing and intense battles and freestyles from the likes of; Myself UK Dance Group (@MYSELFDANCE) Parkour Dance (@ParkourDance) and Jamai Jones (@Jam_Fu) Big Shouts to B.Supreme too for curating.

Streetart was rife and scattered all around the walls and fences of the Formans fish island. We saw some great work from Dale grimshaw, Daniel wood and his guys from overseas, Stedhead art and Suzko had some really good graffiti pieces as well as Will Odkay and Karis Knight with their illustrations.

If this all wasn’t enough there was still things to keep your eyes wowed with professional bmx riders inline skaters and skateboarders all keeping it very fresh and lively in their sections showing off all their latest stunts and tricks.
