“New year, new me”, has already no doubt slipped from your mind as you gorge in a greasy takeaway or hit the send button on that desperate text to your ex. You were one of the millions around the globe who made empty promises to themselves that, this year will be different – Yeah OK.

Statistics reveal that 80% of people don’t actually stick to their resolutions in the UK, so why do we bother?  Truthfully, you can’t really predict or control what will happen in the year ahead so why not go with the flow? It’s impossible to experience consistent happiness for 365 days; it would get boring! Some are stuck in the mind frame that making resolutions will improve their happiness; forgetting that bad days make you appreciate good days.

Think of it in this way – a year has gone by, another successful year that you have survived the hunger games of life.  So eat that burger and so what if your room is unorganised! Be unapologetic. Have no regrets and enjoy the spontaneity of life.
