Loyalty is a word often thrown around in the modern era; however the loyalty Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna show towards each other for the Loyalty video shows the true definition. Kung Fu Kenny holds Rihanna single-handedly from a skyscraper, beats up a man for her affection and also batters what appears to be an innocent BMW I8 driver in order to simply pull a few donuts and crash the car.
They say love makes you do crazy things and If all of the above wasn’t crazy enough for the viewer we also see the Cornrow Kenny persona and Rihanna kill another version of Lamar. This death scene could be seen as a metaphorical representation of Lamar’s birth. Kendrick’s album DAMN has now gone double platinum and with strong visuals like this it is not hard to see why.
