Christmas is the season for catching up with family and gathering in one place so it’s only fitting that the latest release from Streetwear and lifestyle brand Crooks & Castles is a remake of a classic family board game. The Crooks & Castles remake of Monopoly finds virtually every aspect of the classic board game transformed, from the packaging to the ersatz money (now in denominations of $100 to $50,000) to the board itself. Crooks’ luxurious upgrades mean that the original train stations are replaced with a Bullet Train, Executive Heli-Pad, Clear Port, and Yacht Harbor. Meanwhile, the customized game pieces now include a fitted hat, retro sneaker, and the Crooks co-founder’s French Bulldog. The Crooks & Castles edition of Monopoly is available now through Caliroots.
