Spotify has released its annual Year in Music top lists, seeing Drake dominate without even having released an album. This doesn’t come as a surprise though as the 6 God released not one, but two projects on the streaming service of the year, which also won him the top Global Artist, with ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’ and his Future collab ‘What A ‘Time To Be Alive’. The two mixtapes resulted in Drake earning Spotify’s top spot with over 1.8 billion streams and 46 million listeners which kicked out last year’s most streamed artist, Ed Sheeran. Spotify also released Rihanna as the most streamed female of the year.
