2015 is the promised year of the gamers with so many dope games being teased to us last year and loads of rumours it’s only right we give you the Top 5 games that you should be excited for this year.

5: The Order 1886

Developed by Ready At Dawn and published by SCEE, The Order 1886 is an Action/Shooter set in Neo-Victorian England. The game’s fundamentally set in Victorian London, but because of an industrial revolution, beyond the capabilities of the actual one, there was a technological boom. This introduced futuristic weapons, based on weapons of the last few centuries and combined with the technological capabilities the 21st century and above. These weapons include:

M86/FL Thermite Rifle: A LMG that burns through cover and can fire a magnesium shot that is highly flammable. The magazine can act as an explosive if placed and ignited.

Arc Gun- An experimental tesla coil that shoots a focused stream of electricity.

In the game you play Sir Galahad, a member of the Order. You protect the city against dangerous rebels, whilst fighting the Half-Breeds, a group of half-human monsters.

The Order 1886 will be released on 20th Feburary 2015 exclusively on the Playstation 4

4: Battlefield: Hardline

Battlefield: Hardline is the next game in the collection from Visceral Games in collaboration with  EA Digital Illusions CE  and is being published by Electronic Arts. The yearly first-person shooter is being revamped, adding a new twist to the somewhat repeated game. With the same stunning visuals in the previous game, Battlefield 4, but adds a different narrative, the classic story of cops and robbers. The story follows the police as they try to catch the criminals or alternatively the criminal’s story, where they try to outsmart the police. The multiplayer allows you to pick a side and adds different game modes, such as the classic heist.

Battlefield: Hardline will be released on 20th March 2015 in the UK on XBOX One, Playstation 4, XBOX 360, Playstation 3 and on PC.

3: Evolve

Evolve is an asymetrical first-person shooter where four players try to kill a monster that is being played by the fifth player. The monster has to either kill all four hunters or complete a secondary objective, for instance, destroying a human base or power plant. The game is being developed by Turtle Rock Studios, published by 2K Games and distributed by Take-Two Games.  The game allows players to be hunters and use a range of abilities or play as different classes, for instance, Assault, Trapper, Medic, Support. They also allow you to become different types of monsters that have different powers and weaknesses, for example, Goliath, Kraken, Wraith, Behemoth.

Evolve will be released on 10th Feburary on XBOX One, Playstation 4 and PC

2: Tom Clancy’s: The Division

Tom Clancy’s: The Division is an open world third-person shooter role playing game, combined with survival elements. The game is being developed and produced by Ubisoft. You wil play as a member of the  Strategic Homeland Division (SHD), or The Division for short.  They help combat the recent epidemic and try to rebuild American society. The game has futuristic elements such as a map that covers the floor at a tocuh of a button or acess security cameras and have a scene play out in front of you as a hologram. The game utilises cross-platforming, allowing someone to use a tablet to control a drone to aid their friend playing on a console.

Tom Clancy’s: The Division release date will be confirmed at a later date, but will come out in 2015 and will be available on XBOX One and Playstation 4

1: Batman: Arkham Knight

Batman Arkham Knight is the epic conclusion to the trilogy and is being developed by Rocksteady and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.  This last game comes to a climax and adds numerous villains that every DC Comics fan will recognize. These include villains such  Scarecrow, Penguin, Riddler and Harley Quinn. The two previous games were famed for their fighting mechanics and every open world game with fighting is compared to them.  The game brings back the core fighting mechanics whilst adding one of the most iconic vehicles in comic book history, the Batmobile. The game allows you to drive the famous vehicle around the massive open world and launch out of it at any notice and arrive to any location in style. You can also use the Batmobile’s weapons such as the a Vulcan gun for quick damage, a 60mm hypervelocity gun for tank-busting, missiles for wide-ranging damage, and a non-lethal riot-suppressor and allowing you to take down numerous assailants with a wide variety of options. Batman can also call the Batmobile at any time, whether that be whilst gliding across the city or walking on foot and can even control the Batmobile romotely helping him with numerous puzzles.
