2014 saw a lot of sneaker drops and we mean A LOT! we asked our good friend and self confessed female sneaker head Mighty Bouche (@mighty_bouche) to give us her list of the Top Ten Sneaker Drops of 2014:
10) Size x Reebok Workout ‘Pastel Pack’
Size? took a classic oldskool trainer and brought it right up to date, with a banging pastel colour overhaul that both girls and boys liked, selling out in small sizes very quickly.
9) Nike Air Max 90 Pink
A big hit this summer and probably my most commented on trainer, whenever I wore it, Nike gave the Air Max 90 a nice neon twist.
8) Adidas Stan Smith
This classic trainer made a big return in 2014 and I stupidly slept on the Consortium reptile version – biggest regret of the year!
7) Nike Liquid Slider Pack
2014 was all about the slider, or socks n slides if you were that way inclined – taking inspiration from the 2013 liquid AM1 pack, the slider was given a metallic finish in silver and gold and it was the first time a pool shoe sold out in minutes!
6) Asics Gel Lyte III Snowflake
“Possibly the greatest Asics colourway ever” according to Soleheaven and the perfect summer colourway for the ladies.
5) Offspring x Saucony Shadow 6000 Collab
A super nice finish with inspiration from Offspring’s first store in Covent Garden and a 3M finish – THE material of the year.
4) Nike Air Max 1 Liquid Pack
After having its initial drop in 2013, this sell out sneaker was back with an updated design and extended size run.
3) Nike Air Force 1 x Riccardo Tisci
What a stunner this drop was – premium leather finish and detail across the shoe made this a hit with the ladies, especially the high version
2) Adidas Flux Prism
2014 was the year that was dominated by 3-stripes and the Flux was the stand out model for me – super lightweight, comfortable and available in an array of designs, with the prism being my favourite. This was a very close contender for the top spot.
1) Nike Air Jordan 6 Black/Infrared
The most anticipated release of the year since 2013, in fact these were always going to be a big one and Nike didn’t disappoint with this absolute beauty. Jordan’s also look way better in small sizes too, so it was double goodness for ladies across the land! A worthy winner for me!
I look forward to what 2015 have for us ladies; think it’s going to be another big one!
