Supreme’s creative director Brendon Babenzien has left the clothing brand.  Babenzein has been apart of the iconic brand since 2006, helping establish one of the most must have brands in street culture today.

WWD Magazine have said Babenzien is in the process of raising $2 million to fund for another brand. The ideal target is said to be the customer in their 20’s to 40’s who likes Supreme, but wants something a little different.

Babenzien acknowledges the fact that skate culture is something that now today, is coming more apparent, with the likes of labels such as Palace, Patta and Stussy to name a few, you get the idea.

“Twenty years ago, skateboarders were outcasts and football players were cool. Now [the skateboarders are] at the top of the food chain,” Babenzien told WWD. “They aren’t being addressed very well. If you want to spend a ton of money, you can buy great clothes. But can you balance that with an understanding of what’s happening socially at the moment and what kind of music people are listening to?”
