Red Bull Music Academy has announced their month-long 2016 tour that will take place in October. The tour will take place in four cities, Liverpool, Glasgow, London and Leeds over consecutive weekends. The RBMA UK Tour will host studio sessions, Art installations, Radio shows, AV, Club nights and live lectures with some of the biggest names in the music industry.
Liverpool RBMA UK Tour (6-9th October)
Kicking off the Liverpool leg of tour on the 6th October at the Palm House will be RBMA resident Jamie Woon who will be joined by DJ SG Lewis and producer Suede Brown.
7th October UK Rap Duo Krept and Konan will sit down for the first RBMA Tour lecture at Camp & Furnace, speaking about chatting about their rise to success and how they maintained credibility in the game alongside a record deal. Later that day the hall will be filled with the future sounds of UK Hip Hop with the likes of, Krept and Konan, Dublin Rapper Rejjie Snow, MC Loyle Carner, Siohan Bell & last but not least, No Fakin’ DJS.
Saturday 8th October Moodymann will take over the Invisible Wind Factory with a display of laser modules and mirrored kinetic sculptures featuring the likes of Hunee b2b Young Marco, Sassy J and Or:La. Need location
9th October at St George’s Hall will be the last leg of the Liverpool RBMA Tour with ‘Rhymeantics’, which will explore and celebrate the art of MC’s and poets featuring D Double E. With Jammz, Ocean Wisdom, Footsie, Lady Leshurr, AJ Tracey and Santan Dave.

Glasgow RBMA Tour (13-16th October)
On 13th October The tour will travel north to Glasgow with D Double E kicking off the events with ‘GLA x LDN’ featuring Sir Spyro, Jammz, Capo Lee, Jack Dat, DJ Milktray, Rapture 4D and Bushido. On the same day. Kölsch takes his live show to Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom.
On 14 Oct, there will be a one off party in a never before used basement space in Glasgow City Centre hosted by Genreal Ludd, Kölsch Lorenzo Senni and Denis Sulta. Also the same night, Mumdance and Logos will be previewing their ‘Different Circles’ project, which is a fusion of experimental music. There will also be live performances from Russell Haswell, Doc Scott and Inkke.
On Sat 15th Oct, Jackmaster will host ‘Disco Spin’ at the Majestic Launderette followed by ‘ La Cheetah 7th Birthday’. The line-up includes Actress, Beatrice Dillon, Lukid, Wardy and Dom D’Sylva.
On Sat 16th there will be a conversation with Young Fathers. After their mercury prize in 2014 for their debut album ‘Dead’ the Young Fathers haven’t looked back since. RBMA fans get a chance to sit down and discuss music matters and beyond. Mumdance will also be finishing off the Glasgow leg the same night with his ‘Modular Synth Session’ hosted by Russell Haswell, Matthew Allum and Aleks Jurczyk.

London RBMA Tour (19-22nd Oct)
On 19th October Gorgon City will kick off the London leg of the RBMA UK Tour with ‘Studio Science’, which is an exclusive lecture, which will dive into the skills, mainstream appeal, and studio techniques.
On 20th October the tour will feature in Hackney for the ‘This is Awful’ show which will feature a 360 degree viewing experience for fans hosted by Father, Abra, Ethereal, Keithcharles Spacebar, Lord Narf and Tommy Genesis.
Also on the same night is ‘A Conversation with Dizzie Rascal’ at The Yard Theatre. Dizzie will sit down with RBMA to discuss his career, set backs, the industry and much more.
On 21st October Lady Leshurr will be hosting ‘Studio Science’ Workshop at the Red Bull Studios, London. She will be talking about beats, lyrics and the life of Lady Leshurr.
On the 22nd October the tour will conclude with ‘Dizzie Rascal: Boy in Da Corner Live’ taking place at Copper Box Arena. Boy in Da Corner hit the airwaves in 2003 and the 22nd October will the first time Dizzie brings Boy In Da Corner home to the UK, playing the whole album in its entirety in an unmissable concert. Leeds RBMA Tour programme (27-30 Oct)
The tour will finish off in Leeds where grime legend Kano will sit down with Hattie Collins to discuss the relationship between the scene and photography. Also the exhibition exhibits pictures from photographers from all over the country as they follow their crews in their ends capturing iconic moments, which will be on show to the public. Featuring photographers such as, Cleveland Aaron, Tim & Barry, Olivia Rose, London’s very own, Vicky Grout, Lord Of The Mics and Risky Roadz. People whom we are familiar with their work over the years.
On 28th October, Club Wire will host an all berlin takeover by DJ Marcell Dettmann, Objekt, Call Super and Laurel Halo.
On 29th October, DJ Harvey who is one of the most respected electronic music figures will take over the decks for the first time in 25 years accompanied by Leon Vynehall, Job Jobse and Palms Trax.
On the 30th October The last leg of the RBMA UK Tour will be a Halloween special horror film ‘It Follows’ which will screen at Hyde Park Picture House.
