In the height of all of the terror threat activity and following on from Saturdays knife attack at Leytonstone tube station, a South Londoner today was the focus of a Twitter surge of much needed banter and relief after leaving his house with a novelty umbrella shaped like a samurai sword  and having his morning train held up by police officers.

South London Marketing entrepreneur Raymond Brown was travelling to work in Stockwell this morning when a train that he was on was held up at Deptford Overground station as police officers responded to a call from the public about a man with a dangerous weapon and wanted to inspect the umbrella for themselves. The train full of early morning commuters burst out laughing as the object under scrutiny was opened up and revealed as nothing but a weapon against the rain.
