One of the biggest stories to end 2015 is the collaboration between Nike Lab and Stone Island named “The Year of Windrunner”. The partnership is a celebration of Nike’s famous Windrunner Jacket, which is still going strong since it was first produced in 1978. Stone Island have ceased the opportunity to bring fans a mix of Nike’s wind and waterproof Mussola Gommata fabric which is a lightweight woven cotton with Stone Island’s Nylon Metal fabric which features on the Windrunner’s body adding a glisten to the outer jacket, finished off with the Stone Island badge on the arm and Nike logo on the chest.Nike and Stone Island have also created the ‘Nike Koth Ultra Mid SI sneaker-hiker hybrid which is inspired by the ‘Nike Air Mowabb’. The shoe has a rugged design and is all weather proof like the new sneaker boot. The trainer is also made of the Mussola Gommata fabric finished off with the Stone Island crest on the tongue. A dust bag will accompany the collection.The windrunner will be available in Blue, Green, White, Red and Silver. With the sneakers and dust bag available in Black and Olive.
The NikeLab x Stone Island collaborative Windrunner jacket and sneaker will be available on December 17 at Stone Island flagship stores, StoneIsland.com, select NikeLab retailers, and on Nike.com/NikeLab.
