NIKE AIR MAX CLASSIC BW – A BRIEF BREAKDOWN

Nike Air Max Day is on its way once again, falling as usual on March 26th, and in the run up we take a look at a classic silhouette that in 2016 has been a little left behind. The Air MAx Classic BW was the brainchild of Tinker Hatfield and originally released in the early ’90s. It utilised the same sole unit as the Air Max 90, that released a year earlier, but with a larger window in the heel, which resulted in it adopting the nickname the “Big Window”.

The OG Big window colourway was of course the “Persian Violet” which has seen numerous re-releases and is about to pop up on the sneaker shelves once again this year. The Black upper complimented by the Persian violent branding and accents was a real popular silhouette in the U.S with R&B singers and athletes and in Europe as a lifestyle sneaker worn to countless raves and on the streets. The updated version of the Persian Violet colour-way alongside multiple colour-ways has been named the Air Max BW Ultra and will be available in all Nike stockists.

We will keep you updated on each release as they drop.
