Nando’s renowned Music Exchange programme is back this September, with music students from around the globe coming together at London’s iconic Roundhouse music venue, to collaborate and create new music with the help of well-known international mentors.
This year’s programme takes place between 10th and 13th September and brings together 40 talented students aged between 18 – 25 from the UK, South Africa and Australia – helping them turn the heat up on their creative careers via global exchanges and collaboration.
The aspiring musicians will be mentored by three established global artists; UK rapper and MOBO award winner, Nadia Rose; South African vocalist, producer and founder of independent label ‘Albino Black’, Nonku Phiri; and Australian rapper and winner of the triple j Unearthed ‘Artist of the Year’, Kwame.
Mentor Nadia Rose commented: “I’ve been lucky enough to be surrounded by talented musicians from an early age and receive mentorship from my cousin Stormzy as well as Rihanna, which really helped shape my musical vision. I’m really excited to take part in this year’s Nando’s Music Exchange and offer mentorship to the next generation of potential artists. Programmes like this are so important to young people, and I hope to provide some wisdom and insight into the music industry from my own personal experiences.”
