Our resident sneaker contributor King of Trainers has birthed a design project entitled The Tubular Project Special in collaboration with Illustrator and Artist Rhys Designs. The King was in awe of the tubular sole on the adidas originals Tubular silhouette, the brands new 2014 silhouette. Working together with Rhys Designs the duo present 5 popular silhouettes fitted with the new tubular technology.

1. The Offspring x Saucony Shadow Running Since 1996 – I chose this Trainer cause it was definitely one of the best drops of 2014 and just wanted to highlight the Trainer again and see how the sole would look on this Trainer.
2. The Lebron 10 EXT Cork this was mentioned to me by friend Chris from The Word On The Feet, that because the Tubular sole looks covers the whole underneath of the Trainer it kinda has that Lebron lift anyway so it would look dope.
3. The Jordan 3 Black Cement is an obvious choice it’s a classic Trainer that I thought would look good with the Tubular sole, being the 1st Jordan to have an Air Bubble, I wanted to see how it can be remixed plus you know that this will give an super extra life if they were added to a basketball Trainer.
4. Diadora x Patta Diadora N9000 “9” I had to show love to Diadora for their crazy come back this year and the N9000 is definitely one of the Trainers of the year especially the Patta Collaborations so we had to see how the Tubular Sole will sit on there.
5. Adidas Torsion Aqua zX 8000 Yeah, Yeah you know that the King has to add an Adidas Classic with the Tubular sole which to be honest with you guys probably would happen next year so you know where you saw it 1st.!!

PS: This was a private project and was not commissioned by Adidas, just a little something to show love to their brand as 2014 they have really pushed the boundaries with new sole technology and style. Well done! Can’t wait to see what Adidas have in store for 2015!! Kanye Hurry Up!! 😉
