So the King is in the Trapped Magazine building and its been a crazy week !!! Did any of you guys see the Nike Football events over this week? They were totally spectacular!!! Speaking of spectacular the 5 aside tournament by some of the sneaker shops and key sneakerheads in the UK battled it out for a winner takes all opponents sneakers challenge!! Well the winners were the Swedish soon to be UK Store’ Sneakers and Stuff’ which won the overall tournament, which makes perfect PR sense for the brand as they are opening a massive store right in the heart of London’s Shoreditch. So that brings me on to my Top 5, ‘The Top 5 Trainers Stores in London that you may not know yet’
5. Circle Sports –
2 Locations; 99 Church Street London NW8 8EY and 138 Kingsland High Street, London E8 2NS – This store is a diamond in the rough, forming into what is going to become a hotspot for Sneakerheads. The church street store started a few years ago and have a very rare stock of Huaraches and Airmax’s but now with their new Kingsland high street store they are partnering with some big names in the sneaker game soon to bring you a massive range of stock, so keep your eyes and ears peeled.
4. Global Sports –
2 Locations Global Sports Kingston 31a Fife Road Kingston KT1 1SF and Global Sports Shepherds Bush 182 Railway Arches Shepherd’s Bush Market London W12 8DF. Dont sleep on these shop’s. With their new one now open in Kingston, these guys have been serving that heat for years and they get some really dope stuff including Jordans, so make sure you check them out.
3. Sports Dimension or Dimension SportsÂ
248 Uxbridge Road Shepherds Bush London W12 7JA and 2 Manor Parade Station Road Harlesden NW10 8TR
These guys range of sneakers from Airmax’s to Jordans is so dope and so big. When you guys are going to “main stream” shops and everything is sold out, make sure you go and check these guys out cause they will probably have them.
2. Sneaker:
404 Cranbrook Road Ilford Essex IG2 6HW. This shop is like that special secret discovery, they have a massive range of very rare and dead stock Nikes, set in a normal mini high street, when you stumble upon this store you will think you were in a mini Mercer 21 which believe me it isnt a bad thing.
1. Mr Sneaker (formally Meteor)
408-410 Bethnal Green Rd, London, E2 0DJ. The first and original independent sneaker shop in London, with the first official Nike account in the UK. You have to check this shop out if you are after that super rare stuff, they WILL have it and if they haven’t they can get it. But make sure you have the brown bag money cause their stuff isn’t cheap.
Hope you guys liked the top 5 shops in London that you may not know of yet, and if you do I hope you are supporting, give them a visit.
Peace and remember to Keep it Kinging!!
