For the second installment of our new series exploring the many cultural hotspots that help to form our identities from Skate shops to streetwear shops, food spots and more, we are still in Manchester and it is a look at   Skate/streetwear shop the Black Sheep.

Established in Manchester 1999 The Note store are retailers of clothing, footwear, skateboards and DVD’s and are recognised for their authentic and unique take on street wear and the skateboarding scene.

The store maintains exclusivity in the culture and fashion industry, by gaining inspiration from their local community in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter. Which is host to independent fashion retailers, as well as, legendary skate spots such as the BBC banks/curbs, Bridgewater, Castlefield Amphitheatre, Gasworks, Town Hall, Urbis and the Pump cage skate park.

Alongside their own brand Note stock a variety of skate shoes and clothing from brands such as; Adidas, Converse, DVS, Emerica, eS, Etnies, Fallen, Gravis, Lakai, Nike SB, Supra, Altamont, Analog, Diamond, Dickies, Fourstar, KR3W, Matix and Rebel8.

The Note store maintains their exclusivity by Stocking some of the finest skate brands such as; Blueprint, Chocolate, Cliche, Deathwish, Heroin, Krooked, Toy Machine, and many more. As well as DVD’s such as Blood Wizard, Deathwish, Girl, NOTE and many others.

Showing enthusiasm and originality in what they do, Note pay homage to the skating community by hosting skating premieres and events ensuring they stay well respected in the industry, and maintain exclusive relationships with brands and skaters.
