Hoodrich, the Birmingham streetwear brand that took UK streetwear into JD Sports from a bedroom in Erdington has just signed a multi-million pounds deal with American brand management company Iconix. Iconix now owns a majority share in the brand with Owner Jay Williams retaining a minority stake in order to still steer the brand creatively.
Hoodrich has been worn by many UK Rappers and influencers including Chip, Giggs, Mist and even US rapper and Mogul 50 Cent. In an interview Jay said:
” I think this is the perfect partnership for Hoodrich and I’m looking forward to working alongside Iconix and Batra, who will be a major support system for the global growth of the brand.”
By taking on partners that have experience in the US and with brand partnerships Hoodrich’s journey into America has all the ingredients to make it a success. We wanna say a big congratulations to Jay Williams for his achievements and we wish him luck on this new chapter.
