In the UK Sneaker game there are a lot of firsts still to be claimed, but now thanks to lifestyle and sneaker events company Fresh Laces, the first sneaker art exhibition is no longer one of them. Art is an amazing treat for our senses it can attract people from all walks of life for many different reasons, very much like sneakers and just like sneakers it can come in all shapes and forms. Thanks to their relationships with sneaker enthusiasts and creatives whilst holding their sneaker and lifestyle events the Fresh Laces team arranged for sneaker customisers, artists and photographers to come together under one roof to showcase their work to the rest of the sneaker loving community and to the art lovers and creatives that love all things to do with the culture.
Held at 5th Base Gallery just off Brick Lane the exhibition was held over two days, last week Saturday the 16th and Sunday 17th of August, with a preview launch party held on the Friday. The team were down there on Friday to check it out and were delighted to see all of the elements of a Fresh Laces Event were also incorporated into the Art exhibition, there was live music from DJ 10 Faces, Art Daley and Skyy i (Crook Street) and a spoken word performance from James Massiah as well as refreshments from Redbull and Propercorn.
Being the media partner of the event we made sure to grab plenty of pics to show you, so enjoy and make sure you keep an eye on the Fresh Laces Website for news of upcoming events.
