Beyonce has taken the album game to an unprecedented level this month, when the world thought she was having a well earned break with her family the Singer dropped her fifth studio ‘visual’ album, titled, ‘Beyonce‘ with 14 new songs and 17 brand new videos. With no marketing or advertising and no leaks, Beyonce made the announcement to hundreds of thousands of her fans via Instagram video. She said: “I felt like I didn’t want anybody to give the message when my record is coming out. I just want this to come out when it’s ready and from me to my fans.”
Within minutes thousands of photos were being uploaded of fans who had already downloaded the album and taken screen shots of her videos and listened to her songs. Twitter has been alive with fans and celebs remarking on the album and Beyonce’s marketing strategy.
