As we fast approach the Summer months we have seen a volume of new SS14 drops from multiple streetwear brands, displaying a variable selection of more seasonal apparel pieces. One trend that is making a massive comeback for 2014 is the basketball vest. Coinciding with the rise of 80’s and 90’s throwback styles, including the popular demand for retro inspired sneakers and sportswear, we have seen fashion brands including the likes of Supreme, Scribblers Tee Room and Other UK incorporate this piece into their collections; closely following in the footsteps of sports retailers such as Adidas who provide a traditional range of basketball jerseys from teams such as The Lakers, New York Knicks and the Chicago Bulls.
