Each year, Jordan Brand hones in on one particular Air Jordan model – specifically, the shoe celebrating a 23rd Anniversary. After the Air Jordan 6 celebrated its Jordan Birthday last year, fans were disappointed that the 1991 lifestyle classic Air Jordan 6 “Maroon” was left off of the release slate. However this December the 5th fans of the Air Jordan 6 will not be disheartened. Not only is this the first time Jordan Brand presents a retro version of the original Air Jordan 6 “Maroon”, but now we know why Jordan Brand didn’t release the pair then – they were readying a classic OG ‘Nike Air’ heel branding complete with the traditional translucent outsole. It’s about time right?
The sneaker features off-white throughout the majority of the upper with Maroon detailing on the midsole, heel tab, tongue, branding and lace lock. Look out for the Air Jordan 6 Retro “Maroon” to launch at select retailers, including RockCityKicks, on December 5.
