Cancer care experts GenesisCare today announced they will be the exclusive sponsor of Jeff Stelling’s Football March for Prostate Cancer UK, on Sunday 17 September 2023.
Jeff Stelling, the legendary former Sky Sports broadcaster, who hosted the iconic TV show Soccer Saturday for more than two decades before retiring last season, will lead a special one-day fundraising marathon march from Wembley to High Wycombe in tribute to fellow broadcaster and Wycombe Wanderers fan, Bill Turnbull, who sadly died from prostate cancer in August last year. Nearly 400 people will join Jeff, with a goal to raise £200k in total.
As a specialist cancer care provider with 14 treatment centres throughout the UK, sponsoring this event teams GenesisCare with Prostate Cancer UK as they both promote the importance of early diagnosis of prostate cancer – a disease which affects 1 in 8 men in the UK.
Jeff Stelling said: “I’m excited that GenesisCare are supporting Prostate Cancer UK’s Football March – and delighted to hear their team will be joining me and almost 400 others as we walk from Wembley Stadium to Wycombe in memory of the legendary Bill Turnbull.”
On September 17 2023, Stelling set off from Wembley Stadium, en route to Buckinghamshire and Adams Park, home of League One Wycombe Wanderers, to complete a 26 mile march to help save men’s lives.
