We brought you news last week of the Sprite Obey your verse campaign where the brand decorated 16 cans of their colourless soft drink with iconic Hip hop lyrics from legends and leaders in the game, well Sprite have kept to the theme of hiphop suitably with their latest move, the Obey Your Thirst documentary series with The FADER.
The two brands will be sitting down with Nas, Vince Staples, Isaiah Rashad, and here, Drake.
In episode 1 Drizzy talks about the art of Rapping, the advice his father gave him and speaks out against the popular notion that musicians and artists must move to places like New York to get noticed. The documentary wouldn’t be interesting without a bit of bragging and boasting from the Toronto Rapper such as quotes like “I’m not worried about these other rappers, I’m not competing with those guys. I already know their hand, I know their move. I study everything. I’m worried about the kid that’s sitting in his house, that wants to be better than me and all those guys. That’s who I’m competing with.”
