Bella Hadid has taken it back to basics. From being snapped walking the runways of Paris, London and Milan to having her face painted across billboards all over the world. Bella’s latest campaign is a little different. The supermodel has teamed up with Nike to celebrate Nike’s 45th Anniversary of the Cortez sneaker. Bella rocks Cortez sneakers paired wit an array of nostalgic outfits representing all the important trends the Cortez was around for over the past four decades, from ’70s flared jeans to ’80s tracksuits to ’90s slip-dresses.
She praised the versatility of sneakers in an interview with Coveteur, saying: “The [Nike] Cortez is amazing on its own, but to be able to put it with any outfit is so cool. You can mix and match it with a black dress or Levi’s or sweatpants—whatever you want. I probably have fifty pairs of sneakers. I need to start donating them, I feel bad having that many.”
This isn’t the first time Bella has worked with Nike. Summer 2016, she was featured on a huge billboard in New York City modelling their sportswear apparel. This latest campaign puts Bella up there with the elite of the elite and definitely cements her place as a Nike model.
The trainers will be available from 1st June in all major stockists and Nike.com with newer colourways releasing throughout the summer
