The SS17 show from Y-3 was focused on the future with streamlined clean aesthetics, the highlight for us their footwear collection which takes the fan outside of the society’s norms and gives them striking options that make a statement whilst remaining functional. The inspirations for next years wares were undoubtedly from A Clockwork Orange and Blade Runner. The collection centres around the four themes of ‘Future Perfect,’ ‘Dimension 3,’ ‘Renegade’ and ‘Surrealism,’ the collection’s footwear made use of TPU moulding, thermo-bonded overlays and prominent branding for a bold ensemble for both men and women.
