Saturday saw another well anticipated Crepe City event at at The Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane, as well as the first day of good weather this year.
Crepe City 10 was by far the largest event to date, split over two floors with three sneaker packed rooms, plus an adidas X Crepe City Pop up shop. From 6am Sneakerheads, Fashionista’s, couples and shopaholics were all waiting to get their hands on some exclusive sneakers and UK Streetwear.
Inside the Truman Brewery, DJ collective Too Bad Dj’s and Dj Cartier were bringing fresh UK Garage/Bass Music beats to liven everybody up after all the standing about. The Sneaker sellers really brought their A game and the displays and stalls were boasting Quickstrike releases, OG deadstock’s , customised oneaways as well as the latest sell out releases such as the Yeezy Red Octobers. Remembering Crepe City coming from small nightclub venues with ten to fifteen sellers it was a proud moment as Sneaker lovers, to see the huge event busy and lively with a carnival like atmosphere.
As well as hundreds of Nikes’s, Saucony’s, Jordans adidas and New balance sneakers the UK Streetwear scene was well represented by Hubert and Calvin, Playdot Apparel, Rawvault, Modu designs, PXL and many more. and it wasn’t just what was on the stands that impressed, the event was also home to multiple fashion forward individuals exhibiting their own fresh, original styles and rare sneakers and we were able to get snaps of both.
