Floyd Mayweather Agrees to Fight Conor McGregor in 8-Ounce Gloves

Floyd Mayweather Vs McGregor set to be one of the biggest fights in sporting history & is coming to our screens on August 26. A fight that has caught the attention of a worldwide audience with its entertaining press conferences and eccentric speeches from the pair of fighters, but what’s been dominating social media is the heavily debated aspects of the contest, that includes the latest announcement from Mayweather; that he intends to fight McGregor with 8oz gloves.

“Let’s fight in 8oz gloves” is what the undefeated champ declared via Facebook, going on to say that, “McGregor can fight in any brand he prefers or chooses. I’ll be wearing 8 oz Grant gloves. Whatever advantage McGregor needs to feel more comfortable in the ring, I’m willing to accommodate. Let’s give the boxing and MMA fans what they want to see.”

President of the UFC, Dana White, said back in April that glove weight has been one of the most contributing factors in reaching a two-way deal on the contest, with a huge difference being in the weight between the gloves used in boxing and MMA.

It now seems that both fighters have finally come to an agreement that will put them both in 8oz gloves on August 26, but the question is; will it give McGregor the advantage? Or will it even make a difference? Will Floyd Mayweather retain the crown and silence the crowd? All the questions will be answered in less than a month.

Be sure to tune in on Aug 26th via Sky Box Office & Other streaming sites.
