Trapped Magazine were invited down to Mick’s Garage in Hackney Wick for Dice Summer Party hosted by DJ’s such as SG Lewis who dropped the freshest mixes House and R&B mixes and songs such as Holding Back ft Gallant and Warm. BBC 1xtra resident DJ Jamz Supernova soon hit the decks with her freshest hip-hop, R&B & grime mixes, giving fans another taster of her ‘Future Bounce’ party mix which you can listen to here https://soundcloud.com/complex-uk/premiere-jamz-supernova-mix. The DJ’s got the place rocking from back to front, side to side, to the balcony to the wall. We could definitely see we were in for a treat and this was only the first few hours!
Fans were treated to an extended DJ set from both DJ’s and a live spinning contest between the two DJ’s and left eagerly waiting for the first act of the day, Nadia Rose who had flown in from the Rio 2016 Olympics straight to the Dice Summer Party. Before we could blink Nadia appeared out of no-where and graced the mic performing her hit single Skwod, followed by Boom, DFWT and a live beat boxing session and rap from Nadia’s own DJ. Nadia definitely tore up the stage for her 20 minute slot switching up her versatile flows and getting huge crowd interaction from ladies screaming her name and raps at the top of their lungs.
The day seemed to fly by with fans whispering to each other pointing to the backstage area where Section Boyz were waiting in hope they would shell it down ASAP!
A few minutes later the whole gang appeared on stage shelling with bangers such as Lock Arf, Delete my number, Nosey Neighbours, Section Music 2 & Don’t Panic. Of course, a party isn’t a section party without champagne showers and every drink under the sun being sprayed into the crowd and the fans favourite, mosh pits.
There was plenty of music, food and drink stalls such as succulent jerk chicken, vegan food, craft beers on tap and the freshest and tastiest burgers we’ve ever had to keep the fans entertained and bellies full catering to everyone’s needs. There was also a balcony area that offered a chilled out zone from the carnage downstairs. The balcony had a table tennis table, pinball machine, VIP bar, food stall, seating area and a few sofas to just sink in and vibes to the tunes being played.
The Dice Summer Party overall was a success and a great day out full of vibes, other summer party’s definitely have to live up to this! We look forward to next year
