The Bones Brigade was Tony Hawk’s original skating team, in the days before ‘kick-flips’ and any flips. The team members included; Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero, Mike McGill, Lance Mountain and Tommy Guerrero. In these days they would be skating on what we know now as the retro skateboard, which came is a variety of sizes and shapes depending on the skaters preference. The tricks where mainly grabs, spins and slides.

The Search For Animal Chin was released in 1987 and is a full tape of the Bones Brigades travels around America stoping at, California, Nevada and Hawaii, checking skate spots at each location. Their aim is to find a wise old Chinese man, Won Ton “Animal” Chin. They end up in the desert at a huge ramp with a picture of Animal Chin, a decide it is his spirit.
