NASS FESTIVAL 2014 – REVIEW

Festival season is the best part of Summer for us, going to new places, watching artists go crazy live in person and chilling in the sun are all ingredients of a banging weekend! We went down to Somerset’s annual NASS Festival this year for a combination of Music, extreme sports, streetwear and serious vibes

After travelling down there all day, we filled up on burgers and then hit the main stage to catch some amazing sets from DnB’s Cream of the crop. Netsky Live, Friction & Friends, P-Money, and Andy C had the whole festival turnt up! Everyone was moving, the electricity and energy in that crowd is something that answers the question of why do we go to festivals. The DnB sets started off our weekend and throughout the remaining days we watched the crazy antics of pro skaters and Bmx’ers throwing their limbs about performing tricks that defy gravity as well watching the Dirt bike competition. The shoppers on the team were pleasantly surprised by the ‘Stall Yard’, a mini shopping corner on the festival site featuring upcoming UK brands alongside skate and streetwear veteran brands, Diamond supply, Raglans and more.

The Music was still banging throughout the day with big sets from Mista Jam, Borgore, Fred V & Graffix The slammer and more.

Saturday nights headliner Cypress Hill hit us up with every classic tune you can think of, getting the crowd to shout out each chorus word for word. The vibe was so strong like everyone in their was completely relaxed, always a good sign and a nice way to a start of the night, getting ready for us to rave all through the night into the early hours with DJ Crissy Cris, and Harry Shotta bringing back the UK vibe with crazy drops and serious fast paced bars. A new addition to the festival was Black Sun Empire a trio of Dutch drum and bass producers whose style of heavy Neurofunk is some of the filthiest out there. This set was particularly special as it was MC Codebreakers second to last set before he quits the game. You could tell it was something special as you had the likes of Rockwell and Fred V and Graffix skanking out backstage.

NASS is an amazing festival with so much to offer, considering the size of it and the price! If you were thinking of going this year and you didn’t then commit to going to NASS 2015 you won’t regret it!
