Aged 22 Charlie Palline is a successful and well recognized sneaker customizer. He started out changing the colours of the stripes on his Adidas superstars of the Nike Swoosh logo on his sneakers. Realizing his talent Charlie began to customize trainers using graffiti,  and  eventually got a job doing exactly this at a local trainer shop aged 15.

Since early this year Charlie has been experimenting with his designs, developing his skills and artistic capabilities. We get to know Charlie a bit further, gaining insight into his inspirations and future aspirations.

What inspires you, where does your inspiration come from?

I like to create something that’s different to grab people’s attention and I want them to have a part of what I am creating.  I also love to see people wearing trainers that I have designed and the good feedback I get from people who have seen my work inspires me to carry on and keep creating. This is why I love my job.

What would you say were your biggest projects and achievements?

My first big achievement was customizing a pair of Chipmunk’s trainers this helped me put my work out there for people to see what I can do. From here on I have worked on some big projects for big clients such as footballers and TV stars creating fully customized trainers and large scale paintings.

What is the next step for you and what is your ultimate goal?

The next step is for me to grow and develop my work and keep pushing my concepts and visions.  My ultimate goal is to carry on earning enough money to live a comfortable life doing something I love.
