Frisco and Shakka are different to a lot of artists in the “urban” arena, in that they stay consistent with their releases and know when to strike when the iron is hot. Following Frisco’s collaboration with Chase & Status, ‘Funny’, Big Fris is back and drops new single in ‘Different kind’, along with a Chas Appeti-directed video via FADER, and recruits Shakka who returns the favour after having him feature on the triumphant “Rollin’ With the Elephants” earlier in the year.
“Organic vibes is what we normally go for,” says Frisco, “and on ‘Different Kind‘, we definitely continued in that vein. We just let this song make itself in terms of the vibes, and let mine and Shakka’s chemistry work its wonders.” the Boy Better Know MC spits on what makes him and his crew special as Shakka blesses the track with lashes of soul and another one of his super-catchy hooks.
