Damn the rumour mill in the Sneaker game is whirling with excitement with speculation that Crookes Tongues once the UK’s dopest sneaker forum and premier Online Store with over two decades of History in the game is about to close at the end of January.
Crooked Tongues has caused speculation with its promotion of it’s Winter sale with various different Savings being advertised, in December the discount was 60%, just last week it went up to 70% and yesterday the sale was promoted as ‘Everything £50 or less’ .
Now don’t get it twisted Stores have sales all the time and winter is definitely not a weird time to have one, but the continuos shift in discount seems a little bit like a last bid to make cash before the doors close so to speak.
Another telling sign of something not being right is a Tweet from Crooked Tongues Team Member Gary Warnett AKA @Gwarizm that reads ‘Farewell Crooked Tongues – closing in its current form at the end of January, gave me some great, great opportunities over the years’. The post has now mysteriously been deleted.
