Converse bought some Art and style to the sneaker game with their collection that we feel has been a bit lost in the all the hype of getting the latest colourway or having every single new release. They took classic silhouettes and overpainted them using a technique that allowed the paint to disintegrate over time and with wear to show splashes of colour underneath.
The second collection works on the premise of quality, the Converse All Star Chuck ‘70 and Converse Jack Purcell sneakers have been created in ultra-soft premium leather adding comfort and that feel of luxury. The Maison Margiela Logo is on the tongue and both silhouettes come with painted or non-painted lace options and the paint on these silhouettes will wear away eventually revealing Amber Glow and True Navy with the Converse All Star Chuck ’70 and Azure Blue and Biking Red with the Converse Jack Purcell.
The Converse and Maison Martin Margiela collection drops on the 23rd May, online at the Maison Margiela website.
