The smartwatch makers, Pebble have just released a kick starter page announcing their new products, the Pebble 2, Time 2 and the Pebble Core.
The Pebble 2
The Pebble 2 is “An uncompromising, heart rate-enabled smartwatch at an unbeatable price” according to Pebble. The watch features a high contrast black and white e-paper display with a 24/7 heart rate monitor. The new watch boasts a 7 day battery and water resistance up to 30 meters. The watch also has microphone and built-in activity and sleep tracking.
The Time 2
The Time 2 is a “premium” smartwatch that has a 53% larger colour e-paper display. Similar to the Pebble 2, the smartwatch also has a heart rate monitor, microphone, built-in activity and sleep tracking, water resistant up to 30 meters but has a longer battery life, clocking up 10 days without any charging needed.
The Pebble Core
This new product from Pebble is stated as “Ultra-compact, ultra-lightweight, and ultra-affordable” by the company. The Core gets rid of all the stresses of exercising with your phone but still allows you to keep connected. The Core will be able to stream music from Spotify and can sync GPS data with popular apps such as Runkeeper, Strava and Under Armour Record.
Pebble also revealed that the Core is hackable and can become “your magic button for anything”. You can call an Uber, track your pet, pilot a drone, pretty much anything.
The Core has battery that can produce up to 5.5 hours of music and GPS and has 4GB of storage. You can charge the core using the USB charging cable that is included or opt for the wireless charging accessory that will be available as an add-on.
