So last week was the London Collections for Men and there were fashion shows, presentations and party after party, but there was really only one event that Trapped had to be at, despite the team working flat out all day on several projects, on Saturday 1oth Jan we made it down to the Harvey Nichols and Dazed Magazine event where they Presented UK Streetwear label Trapstar Redline and Haculla’s ( New York Street artist Harif Guzman ) AW15 Collection. The presentation was testament to Trapstar London’s Growth as a brand and Harvey Nichols Fashion team’s forward vision and understanding of what we as young people with a love for Streetwear Fashion want.
Inspired by the US Thriller ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ The presentation was eery and reminiscent of satanic rituals the models were styled to perfection and the collection was strong enough to remain the point of focus for the hundreds of spectators filling the Hall of former Art School, Central Saint Martins.
Miles Langford has to get a mention as he played the part of Master of Ceremony perfectly and with his ink and Make up showed that theres no rules to style only confidence and quality apparel. The collection itself is made up of 12 pieces including a tattoo sleeve bomber jacket, a utility reversible coat and printed denim with bucket hats and Trapstar’s signature umbrella and bowler hat, all set in a monochrome palette and featuring the red shock line. We cant wait to get into Harvey Nichols and try some of them on.
After the presentation the lights were on and we realised that we were surrounded by Music Celebs, Models and stylists and that there was a free bar so we got to work snapping away and networking like crazy, we hope you enjoy the photos.
