On Wednesday 8th June over 10,000 people took part in Nordoff Robbins’ first-ever awareness day #GetLoud. and we had the pleasure of being invited to the grime OG, SN1’s very own Giggs’ #Getloud Grime show hosted by Arnold Jorge (A Squeezy)
Opening up for Giggs were UK artists such as Ms Banks, with ‘Uno My Style’,’ Hallelujah’ and ‘Get loose’. Grime OG Mercston performing ‘Trending’, ‘Top Boy’ and ‘Numarks’. The last to perform was Ghetts with a quick shelling of ‘Artillery’ & ‘One Tak’e. The vibes at the show were turnt as always inside the intimate venue with a lot of Giggs fans also getting involved with the artists sets rapping all the bars and showing love. After Ghetts performed 5 security guards took to the stage before the Peckham OG Giggsjumped on stage, mic in hand, spitting ‘Look what the cat dragged in’. As soon as he dropped that the crowd went nuts, it was hard to believe that we were was seeing Giggs live in the flesh after all the problems that the UK rapper has endured with his shows and public appearances thanks to the Metropolitan police.
The bangers kept coming as Giggs took us through his catalogue and by the time the DJ dropped Kano’s ‘3 Wheel Ups’ the crowd was in such a frenzy the track got pulled up three times! in the spirit of 3 wheel ups! The night wasn’t complete without Giggs dropping his verse to ‘Man Don’t Care’ and bringing on Fekky and a face from the past Dubz. Giggs defo brought the vibes and powers to the show. Here are some pics below to try give you lot an idea of how lit the night was.
