Sasha Lane –American Honey’s break through star, joins forces with Vans and Urban Outfitters for a SS17 Collection. The campaign focuses on self-expression and strength in style, Lane notably being a free spirit seems the perfect fit for the campaign.
In an interview with Urban Outfitters Lane goes into detail about what “strength in style” means for her:
“I think what you wear – at least for me – deciphers how I’m feeling that day. I’m such a mood person, if there’s a day that I wear really big and comfy clothes, I’m using that as a blanket, something that keeps me tucked away. I love colour and I wear things like bows to make me happy or I paint my nails a certain way as a way of expressing myself and I see that as strength. If you dress how you want to dress that will make you feel good, there’s something really strong in putting your own style together. It’s who you are and that’s individual and unique.”
The collection has a range of 23 items spanning from footwear to apparel. The collection includes boiler suits, cycling shorts, hoodies, dungarees, sliders, sneakers, coach jackets and tees. Focusing on denim and the signature Vans checkerboard, with summer ready shades thrown in
